Yes, Arizona is a tough state for lung issues. The dry air, dust, and extreme temperatures allow inflammatory conditions to thrive in our lungs. Some people have already had inflammatory lung conditions, and some develop them within a few years of living here. As a physician, it’s frustrating knowing that there are usually only therapies that merely manage these conditions, and very few that actually diminish and reduce them to a level of not only comfort, but actual healing of the affected tissues.

Most every patient with lung conditions knows about steroidal treatments, albuterol inhalers, and medications.
