Hair Restoration Surgery Alternative In North Scottsdale AZ

The first treatment I'll talk about switching out for the alternative is hair restoration surgery. Today, in my office, we are able to use the patient's own blood plasma, or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) processed in a special PRP tube to extract the most regenerative platelets possible. This is used to assist in growing hair in the area of the scalp that has become bald or diminished. The platelet-rich plasma or PRP is then injected, or used with a micro-needling technique. Numbing cream is applied first, and the injections or micro-needling pen is used to painlessly expose the surface skin to accept the PRP. Regenerative cells, (formally known as stem cells) may also be injected or applied to the area for regrowth as well. Positive results are gotten without drugs, surgery, or chemicals, for hair restoration. This micro-needling with PRP or regenerative cells is also used instead of toxic chemical peels done to aid in resurfacing the skin. It is used to smooth out the appearance of scars, and wrinkles without burdening the liver with the dangerous chemicals in the peel products.

Facial Filler Alternatives

Facial fillers are very popular for filling the areas of the face that have been sunken or wrinkled. The dermal fillers are made of chemically-modified animal and nonanimal sources of hyaluronic acid. Some side effects from long-term use may include weakness of the muscles of the face, head, and neck. The alternative, safer treatment involves the use of the patient's own PRP. The plasma is then placed into a special incubator and turned into a gel which is then called PRF or Platelet Rich Fibrin. This gel acts as a dermal filler that is derived from the patient's own blood. This natural "filler" then works below the skin to create a collagen scaffolding that will lift and fill the skin over time to create a smoother, lifted look of the area treated. Regenerative cells may also be used to accentuate the results. This procedure may be used on the face, over the breasts for a breast lift, and in other areas of the body to fill in areas of sagging skin.

Toxins that paralyze the muscles of the face are very popular in reducing the appearance of wrinkles. One very popular product, Botox, is a form of botulism that has been around since 1989. In 2008, research showed that the product can leach into the nervous system and had even reached the part of the brain stem. The alternative to Botox involves regenerative cells that may be injected, or used in conjunction with micro-needling to assist in the growth of the skin that is damaged and wrinkled. The facial muscles may also be strengthened by this procedure, giving the face a more taught, younger look, without leaching toxins into the nervous system.
